Collection
of Information: If you are a client
or potential client of The Traveler, we may
collect and store information about you to
facilitate communication and/or more effectively
manage client information.
Additionally, our web site may capture
the date and time of your visit to our web site,
referring address, type of Internet browser, and
visitor's IP address. The log file does not
capture a visitor's email
address.
How
does The Traveler use this Information:
This
information is collected so that we may provide
or enhance the services we make available to
you, to enhance our ability to communicate with
you about additional services they may find of
value, to satisfy our legitimate business
interests and to comply with government
regulations.
As we collect and use information, we
may contract with vendors to assist us in
processing that information. These vendors are
required to maintain the confidentiality of the
information and are restricted from using the
information for any purpose other than helping
to provide The Traveler services to our
customers. We never sell information to third
parties that could be used to specifically
identify an individual client or worksite
employee. The Traveler’
websites may collect IP addresses for system
administration, security, and statistical
analysis purposes. We log these addresses and
analyze them to understand where requests
originate so that we can provide the most
efficient service, enhance security, ensure
appropriate usage and produce traffic volume
statistics.
What
happens when I leave The Traveler’ web site to
visit a linked web site?:
Parts
of our web site consist of products and services
hosted by third-party businesses. When you leave
our web site to visit one of these sites, the
only information transferred to the third-party
is the fact that you came from our web site (the
referring address). This practice allows the
third-party to monitor its own web site traffic,
but does not provide them with any information
about you. The Traveler is not responsible or
liable for the independent privacy polices of
third party sites. You should consult the
privacy polices at those sites to determine how
your information may be
used.
Security
and Integrity of Information:
We
treat our data as assets that must be protected
against loss and unauthorized access. We employ
information security techniques to appropriately
protect confidential information from
unauthorized access by users inside and outside
the company. Access to customer information is
limited to those employees who have a legitimate
business need for that information. The
Traveler websites and their supporting systems,
employ generally accepted information security
techniques such as firewalls, access control
procedures and cryptography to appropriately
protect confidential information from
unauthorized access.
Cookies:
The
Traveler’ website may utilize cookies to enhance
the user experience. Cookies
are small text files that a web site can send to
a user's browser for storage on the hard drive.
Cookies can make use of the web easier by saving
status and preferences about a web site. Most
browsers are initially set to accept cookies but
users can change the setting to refuse cookies
or to be alerted when cookies are being sent.
Assent:
Your
continued use of this site signifies your assent
to the The Traveler’ Privacy Policy. We reserve
the right, at our discretion, to, modify, add,
or remove portions of this policy at any time.
